Thuy-Van Vu

BiographyThuy-Van Vu received her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 and her MFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas in Austin in 2006, where she was a recipient of the David Bruton, Jr. Graduate Fellowship. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and abroad including at the Sam Lee Gallery, Los Angeles, the Creative Research Lab, Austin, TX, the Kirkland Arts Center, Kirkland, WA, and the Center on Contemporary Art, Seattle.

Vu has received several awards and grants, including Grant for Artist Projects (GAP) grant from Artist Trust (2007), a fellowship grant from The New Foundation Seattle (2014), and Fell From The Sky gifts (2015, 2016, 2017).
