Cris Bruchborn Sugar Creek, Missouri, 1957

Cris Bruch earned both his master of arts and master of fine arts at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has presented one-person exhibitions at the Salt Lake Art Center, Suyama Space in Seattle, Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, Kirkland Fine Arts Center, and in Düsseldorf, Germany. His awards include the Betty Bowen Memorial Award, a Neddy Artist Fellowship in 2001, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant in 2007. His work is included in the collections of the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington, New York Public Library Print Collection, Microsoft Art Collection, and Portland Art Museum. In 2006 Bruch installed a major outdoor sculpture for the Wayne Lyman Morse United States Courthouse in Eugene, Oregon, for which he garnered a 2008 General Services Administration Design Award for Excellence in Art and Architecture.
