BiographyVictoria Haven earned a Master of Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1999. She has received numerous grants including two Pollock-Krasner Foundation grants and two Artist Trust grants. Other awards include the Betty Bowen Special Recognition Award, a Neddy Artist Fellowship in 2014, The Stranger “Genius Award” and in 2016 the Contemporary Northwest Art Award. Most recently, her work has been included in group exhibitions at Tacoma Art Museum, Frye Art Museum, Seattle, the ArtGym, Portland, the Henry Art Gallery, University of Washington, the Austin Museum of Art, and the Drawing Center, New York. Her exhibitions have been reviewed frequently by Northwest critics and in Art in America, Artforum, and New Art Examiner and she has been selected twice for New American Paintings (2004, 1996). Her work is in numerous Northwest public and private collections including the Henry Art Gallery, Seattle Art Museum, and Portland Art Museum as well as other national institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art.
