BiographyJohn Grade studied at the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York graduating with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1992. He has had solo exhibitions and sited installations of his work both regionally and in Atlanta, Georgia and Valenciennes, France. In 2011 he was included in the Contemporary Northwest Art Awards exhibition at the Portland Art Museum, Oregon and has participated in group shows in Wisconsin and California and throughout the Northwest. He has received numerous grants for his work from Artist Trust and 4Culture and been awarded grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation. In 2010 he received the Willard L. Metcalf Award in Art from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York.
