Lou Watson earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in 2015 from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland. Her work has been presented by the Henry Art Gallery in Seattle, New Nothing Cinema in San Francisco, Experiments in Cinema Festival in Albuquerque, NW Film Festival in Portland, Portland Art Museum, and the Humboldt Folk Festival. She has received the Betty Bowen Award, as well as recognition from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. She has received grants from the Oregon Heritage Commission and the Puffin Foundation.
