BiographyIvan Pokitonov was a self-taught artist who spent most of his life in France and Belgium. He was known as a master of miniature painting and even his easel paintings are often small but highly detailed. Pokitonov was a proponent of landscape painting and preferred to work outdoors, capturing the changing seasons in the French countryside.
