Paul Marioni

BiographyPaul Marioni is known as an innovator in the glass world. He studied at San Francisco State University then received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cincinnati in 1967. He has exhibited extensively within the Northwest as well as in California, Virginia, Massachusetts, New York, and in Darmstadt, Germany. He has received numerous awards including a lifetime achievement award from the Glass Art Society in 2004, several grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the John H. Hauberg Fellowship at Pilchuck Glass School. His work can be found in the collections of the Corning Glass Museum, the American Craft Museum, the Hessisches Landesmuseum, in Darmstadt, Germany, and in numerous regional collections. He taught at Pilchuck Glass School from 1974 through 1988.
