Dante Marioni studied glassblowing at Seattle’s Glass Eye and with artists including Lino Tagliapietra (born 1934), Richard Marquis (born 1945), and Benjamin Moore (born 1952) at the Pilchuck Glass School. He has had one-person exhibitions at the Museum of Glass, Tacoma, the Museum of Northwest Art, La Conner, the Amarillo Museum of Art, and Muskegon Museum of Art and his work has been included in numerous group exhibitions. His awards include a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award in 1987 and the Outstanding Achievement in Glass Award from UrbanGlass New York City in 1997. His work is the subject of the book Dante Marioni: Blown Glass. His glass objects are included in the permanent collections of more than 20 museums worldwide.
