BiographyT. Michael Gardiner is an illustrator and painter. He studied philosophy and theology at St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, Connecticut then received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Washington in 1978. He has received grants for painting from the NEA and the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation. He also has been a freelance illustrator and worked for The New Yorker from 1993-1996, returning to the Seattle area in the late 1990s. In addition to his artwork, he has been an art installer for Artech Fine Art Services since Aug 1999.
