Eduardo Calderón

born Arequipa, Peru, 1949

BiographyEduardo Calderón attended primary and secondary schools in Peru and later attended the University of Washington in Seattle where he studied anthropology and museology. He has been a photographer and an artist since the 1970s and has exhibited his work frequently in the United States and abroad. He is a street photographer capturing images as he walks through the cities and landscapes he inhabits or visits, primarily in Peru, Latin America, and Europe. Calderón works with film and espouses straight photography, doing no manipulation in the darkroom or during printing.
