Mark Calderon
Mark Calderon received his Bachelor of Arts from San Jose State University, California in 1978. He has had solo exhibitions of his work in Seattle and Portland, Oregon as well as New York and Philadelphia. He has created a number of public works for the Seattle Arts Commission, Artist Trust, Sound Transit, and the City of Seattle. Calderon received a Betty Bowen Award in 1986, a WESTAF/NEA Regional Fellowship for Visual Arts for Distinguished Achievement in Sculpture in 1993 and a Painters and Sculptors Grant Program Award from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, New York in 2001. His work can be found in numerous public and corporate collections in the Northwest and in the Boise Art Museum, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, University of Washington, Seattle and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania.
