Robert Makiborn Walla Walla, Washington, 1938

Robert Maki studied at Western Washington University. Following graduate school he taught for two years at the University of Washington. He received an NEA fellowship in 1968. His first major commission project was for Sea-Tac Airport, in 1971. He went on to be awarded a number of residencies, commissions and public art projects. He lives and works in Seattle.
