Cheryl Laemmle

BiographyCheryl Laemmle received her BA degree in 1974 from Humboldt State University, Arcata, California, and her MFA. Degree in 1978 from Washington State University. She has received a number of grants from Creative Artists Public Service, the Vera G. List award, and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her work is in the collections of the National Museum of American Art, Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Walker Art Gallery among many others. She has exhibited widely in solo and group shows both in the United States and abroad and was one of twenty-four artists chosen to represent the United States at the 1984 Venice Biennale.
