Lisa Liedgren

Lisa Liedgren Alexandersson is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seattle, WA. Working in a range of media including painting, drawing, photography and weaving, her studio practice is process-oriented, contemplative and has both formal and conceptual rigor. Her work, which is often project based, places subject matter hand-in-hand with the study of mind and body in relationship to materiality.
Liedgren Alexandersson received a MFA from Ecole Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts in Paris and BFA from Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm. She is a two-time finalist of the Betty Bowen Award and the recipient of Artist Trust GAP Project Grant, the PONCHO Special Recognition Award and a grantee of the French Ministry of Cultural and Foreign Affairs. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and Canada and is featured in museum and private collections including the Seattle Art Museum, the Tacoma Art Museum and Seattle University.
