Took night courses at the Art Institute of Chicago in painting, sculpture and photography from 1935 to 1939
Transferred to Seattle as Deputy Consul in 1939, increasingly pursuing photography here
Founded Seattle Photographic Society in 1941
Director of the Northwest Institute of Photography, also taught courses
Specifically interested in color printing processes and pioneering methods
Went to Hollywood to study color motion picture production after WWII
Show at Seattle Public Library (1941) The International Exhibition of Photography at the Seattle Art Museum in 1943. Also in "They Painted from Their Hearts: Pioneer Asian American Artists" at the Wing Luke Museum, Seattle in 1994
