Mel Curtis
born Ohio, 1954
In 1984 Curtis moved to Seattle, where he lives to this day, working as an artist, educator and photographer. He has taught design and photography for 6 years at Seattle University, for 2 years at the University of Washington and for 3 years at
the PhotoCenter Northwest School. His work is in the permanent collections
of the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Seattle Art Museum and the corporate collections of IBM, AT&T and Microsoft. His work has received numerous awards from the Seattle Design Association, Communication Arts and Print Magazines, as well as AIGA and Photographer's Forum.
