Margaret Ford

BiographyMargaret Ford is a Seattle-based ceramic sculptor. She received a BA in History from Occidental College, Los Angeles then transferred to the University of Washington to study ceramics under Patti Warashina and Howard Kottler. She was awarded a BFA in 1972 and an MFA in 1974. She has been a studio artist and private instructor since 1966, and has taught at The College of Wooster, Ohio State University, Evergreen State College, Eastern Washington University, and Seattle Pacific University. She also has given workshops and lectures in the U.S. and British Columbia.

Ford has had 30 solo exhibitions at galleries in locations including Seattle, Mill Valley (CA), New Jersey, San Diego, Spokane Falls Community College and Contemporary Crafts Gallery (Portland, OR) and has participated in over 180 juried and invitational shows across the country since 1971. She has completed commissions for the Washington State Arts Commission and King County Arts Commission and her work is in private, corporate, and museum collections in the Northwest and on the East coast.
