BiographyCarl Powell is a National Endowment for the Arts recipient whose works have been displayed in the Corning Museum of Glass, New Glass Review, and the Americans in Glass national exhibition.

Powell attended Georgia Southwestern College 1967-71 and Georgia State University 1971-73. He taught at Pilchuck from 1981 to 1983 and at Colorado Mountain College from 1982 to 1984. He has exhibited extensively in the South and Midwest and has created a variety of works ranging from residential stained glass projects to complete glass environments for public buildings.
