Cheryl Comstock

American, born 1951
BiographyCheryl Comstock received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1973 and her MBA from Golden Gate University in 1978. In the late 1980s she also studied at Cornish College of the Arts. Comstock was active as an artist from the late 1980s into the early 2000s. She had solo exhibitions at galleries in Seattle, Atlanta, and Philadelphia and numerous university art galleries including the Henry Art Gallery at University of Washington, Kent State University, University of Alaska, University of Illinois, and University of Alabama among others. She also participated in group exhibitions across the U.S. and particularly in New England, the South, and Pacific Northwest. In 1997 she received an award from the Seattle Arts Commission Visual Artists Program. Her work focused on social critique particularly on feminist issues.
