Albert C. Runquist

BiographyAlbert Runquist studied at the Museum Art School at the Portland Art Museum (OR) as well as the Art Students League, New York. He worked for the Federal Art Projects during the 1930s and early 1940s creating a number of mural as well as easel painting. He also painted a mural for the Post Office in Sedro Wooley, Washington for the Section of Fine Arts. He lived with his brother and fellow artist Arthur Runquist at Neahkanie, on the Oregon coast from 1946 to 1963, painting and working a variety of jobs. He and Arthur often worked together and sometimes signed each other's work.
