Gene Kloss

BiographyGene Kloss was a master printmaker particularly adept at the art of etching; she also painted in oil and watercolor. A native of California, she studied at the University of California, Berkeley, California School of Fine Arts, and College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. She built a career working and exhibiting on the West Coast before relocating to Taos, New Mexico in 1925 where she became one of the signature artists of the New Mexico life and landscape.
