Nancy Megan Corwin

BiographyNancy Megan Corwin received her BA in Art and Ethnomusicology from University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1974 and her MFA in Art Metals in1983. She taught at the University of Oregon, Eugene from 1989 to 1994, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Seattle from 1991 to 2008 and now teaches jewelry and metals at Cabrillo College and Monterey Peninsula College, both in Aptos, California. She has taught a number of workshops at institutions including Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Deer Isle, Maine; Penland School of Crafts, Penland, North Carolina; and California College of the Arts, Oakland.

Corwin has exhibited at a number of venues nationally, and internationally in Canada and in London, England. Her work can be found in the collections of State University of New Mexico Art Gallery at Las Cruces; Tacoma Art Museum; Victoria and Albert Museum, London and private collections throughout the United States. She is a regular contributor to Metalsmith and her book "Chasing and Repoussé, Processes Modern and Ancient," was published by Brynmorgen Press, Maine in 2009.
