Andrew Wyeth

Wyeth received many awards during his lifetime including the Presidential Freedom Award and the gold medal for painting from the National Institute of Arts and Letters, among others. He also received numerous honorary degrees. In 2007 he was awarded the National Medal of Arts. There have been numerous solo exhibitions of Wyeth’s work nationally and internationally. His work is included in the collections of many major American museums, including The Museum of Modem Art in New York City and the National Gallery of Art, as well as the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania and the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, Maine, among many others.
