BiographyBorn in New York in 1971, but raised in Washington, Lorch-Miller’s work frequently refers to the natural environment with a kind of oblique humor. His work has been featured in exhibitions at the Frye Art Museum, Exit Art, the Triton Museum of Art, and the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery—additionally his work is included in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art and 21c Museum. Exhibitions of his work have been favorably reviewed in Art in America, Flash Art, Artforum, and The New York Times, among other publications. Following the completion of his master’s degree in New Genres at San Francisco State University, he was awarded a residency at the Headlands Center for the Arts. He lives and works in New York and has shown with Catharine Clark Gallery since 2001.
