Rene Rickabaugh

born Eugene, Oregon, 1947
BiographyRené Rickabaugh paints detailed, small-scale still life paintings. His works have been aligned with Surrealism, the pointillism of Georges Seurat and the still life tradition of artists of the Netherlands.

Rickabaugh earned a BFA degree from Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, Oregon in 1970. In the late 1970s, he served as an instructor of art at the University of Oregon, Eugene and the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and in the 1980s was an instructor at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
