Doug Jeck
born Jersey City, New Jersey, 1963; died Seattle, Washington, 2022
Jeck had numerous one-person exhibitions at galleries in Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, and Atlanta. His work is in the collections of the International Museum of Ceramic Art in Alfred, New York, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution, the Mint Museum of Craft and Design in Charlotte, North Carolina and Seattle Art Museum. His work also has been reviewed in numerous journals. He received several fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and awards from LaNapoule Foundation and the Virginia A. Groot Foundation. He taught ceramics at the University of Washington from 1996 until his death in 2022.
