Studied Harvard Collee, American School (Fontainebleau), MFA University of Illinois. Active in Vermont.

Exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Cleveland Art Museum, the Los Angeles Museum, the Corcoran Gallery, the Library of Congress, and the National Academy of Design. In collections at Sheldon Swope Museum (Terre Haute, Indiana), Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) and Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art (Norman, Oklahoma).
