Valerie LeBlanc
born Halifax, Nova Scotia, 1950
Inter-disciplinary artist and writer Valerie LeBlanc has exhibited and presented nationally and internationally. Her creations travel between videopoetry, fiction, performance, visual and written theory. At the Banff Centre, she was an Artist in Residence (AIR) in Visual Arts (Glass), Writing, and in the Music Departments, as well as an Associate in the Media Arts. LeBlanc was an AIR in Vallauris, France, Visiting Scholar at the Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney, Australia; Fellow at the Everglades National Park, Florida, and AIR at the Deering Estate, Miami. More recently, she was AIR with the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast in Osprey, FL.
