BiographyHeinrich von Zügel was best known as an animal painter though he also painted landscapes and genre scenes. He studied in Stuttgart and Munich then traveled to Paris in 1887. He eventually settled in Munich. He found a ready market for his works and also exhibited regularly in professional exhibitions, particularly the international expositions in the late 19th century.
