C. Louis Hafermehl

BiographyC. Louis Hafermehl created expressive landscape and abstract paintings. He taught art for over three decades at Kansas State College and the University of Washington in Seattle. He studied art under Birger Sandzen at Bethany College, Kansas. He also studied at the Chicago Art Institute and at the Art Student's League in New York under Howard Tafton and Morris Kanter.

While teaching art at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI, he studied under Zoltan Sepeshy, acquiring an MFA degree in painting.
