Claire Cowie
Claire Cowie received a BFA in printmaking at Washington University, St. Louis (1997), and earned an MFA degree from the University of Washington, Seattle in 1999. She had a one-person exhibition, Flying Ladies of Leisure, and was artist-in-residence at the Henry Art Gallery, University of Washington, in 2003. She received a Neddy Artist Fellowship in 2004 and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2005 as well as awards from the Washington State Arts Commission, Artist Trust and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture. Her work is in corporate and museum collections in Seattle, Tacoma, and St. Louis, Missouri. She is also a full-time lecturer at the University of Washington in the Interdisciplinary Visual Arts Program.
