Judith Poxson Fawkes

Judith Poxson Fawkes was a nationally known fiber artist with a master of fine arts from Cranbook Academy of Art. She exhibited her weavings nationally since the 1960s. She was the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious National Endowment of the Arts Regional Fellowship for Visual Artists. Her work is included in the collections of public and private institutions throughout the country including the American Craft Museum in New York; City of Seattle; Greenville County Museum of Art in South Carolina; Knight Library, University of Oregon in Eugene; and Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. She also has completed many large-scale commissions including the Aurora Municipal Center in Colorado, Knoxville Convention Center in Tennessee, and Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse in Portland, Oregon.
