Marvin Lipofskyborn Barrington, Illinois, 1938; died Berkeley, California, 2016
Active in California; received his B.F.A. degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois.
Earned his M.S. degree, 1963, and M.F.A., 1964, in sculpture from the University of Madison, Wisconsin. There, he was one of Harvey Littleton's first graduate students working in glass.
Founded glass department at UC Berkeley.
