John Buckborn Ames, Iowa, 1946

John Buck received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis. From 1976 to 1990 he taught sculpture at Montana State University, Bozeman. He has created commissioned works for institutions across the West including Lewis and Clark College, Portland, Oregon, Children’s Hospital, Denver, Colorado, Swedish Hospital, Seattle, Washington and nationally in Minnesota and Ohio. He has had solo exhibitions of his work in New York, Colorado, California, Florida, and Oregon including a recent exhibition that traveled to Washington, Indiana, Iowa, and Montana. His work can be found in museum collections across the United States including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago among many others.
