Ramón Puig Cuyàsborn Mataró, Spain, 1953

Ramón Puig Cuyàs was educated at the Massana School in Barcelona between 1969-74, where he is currently the head of the jewelry department. He has also been a visiting lecturer at many universities and has given numerous lectures on his work. He has received several awards in Spain and abroad and has taken part in numerous solo and prestigious group exhibitions at an international level. His works are part of many public and private collections. In 2009 he won a Diploma Mestre Artesa, Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona, an award for master craftsmanship. His works take inspiration from collage techniques as a means of combining different symbols and transforming their meaning.
