Isoda Koryusaiborn Japan; died Edo, Japan, active 1765-circa 1785

Koryusai trained first as a Kano painter, then changed his course to printmaking during the mid-1760s. He may have been a pupil of Harunobu. He was known for his kacho-e (bird-and-flower pictures), bijin-ga (pictures of beautiful women), and hashira-e (pillar prints).
