Kathleen Rabel
Kathleen Rabel is a prominent Northwest printmaker, known for her innovations in the medium, particularly through her role as co-founder of Seattle’s experimental workshop + = studio blu = + which is focused on art on paper.
Rabel received her BA and MFA from the University of Washington. She has been a Professor of Art at Cornish College since 1975. Her paintings, sculptures, and prints are shown internationally and throughout the United States.
Selected collections include The British Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Collection of the Vatican, Abbazia di San Vincenzo al Volturno, The Brooklyn Museum, Seattle Art Museum, The Portland Art Museum, Microsoft, and the Cities of Seattle; Kobe, Japan; and Beersheba, Israel.
