Ron Stewart
Ron Stewart grew up in San Diego where he enjoyed drawing and riding horses both activities that he would continue throughout his life. As a young man, he worked on commercial ranches, participated in horse drives and cattle drives, and raised horses for 50 years. Later in life, he turned to his art full-time, as a painter and sculptor of western historical and animal subjects. Primarily working in watercolor, oil, and bronze, his close connection with horses is prominent in much of his work. His work is represented in collections around the world. He has received numerous awards from the Death Valley Invitational, the George Phippen Memorial, the Pikes Peak National Invitational Show, and the Western Artists of America. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
