Jack Portland
Jack Portland graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in 1971 and has worked in a variety of media including acrylic, watercolor, oils and more recently fresco. He has become well known in the Northwest, both as an artist and teacher.
His work has been included in exhibitions at the National Gallery in Washington, D.C.; the Brooklyn Museum, New York; the Seattle Art Museum and the Tacoma Art Museum, Washington; and the Portland Art Museum, Oregon. His work is also part of several public and private collections, including the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; the Portland Art Museum, Oregon; the University of Oregon, Eugene; and the Cities of Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. Major commissions include Portland International Airport, Oregon; US Bancorp Trust, Portland, Oregon; NW Natural Gas Building, Portland, Oregon; and Matsushita Electric Materials, Inc., Forest Grove, Oregon.
