Alice Wheeler

Alice Wheeler studied at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, earning a bachelor of fine arts degree in 1988. Her photographs of the emerging punk and grunge music scenes in the Northwest were published by Rolling Stone and other national publications and defined this movement for a generation. Her photographs have been included in numerous exhibitions in the Northwest, including Hereabouts: Northwest Pictures by Seven Photographers at Seattle Art Museum and Sparkle Then Fade at Tacoma Art Museum. Her work was also included in The Sounds I See: Photographs of Musicians at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
