DescriptionMedium gray rectangle with star, square, and pyramid shapes in it. Irregular dark black rectangle at lower left. Per printer's notes this is a proof for the artist to experiment with using aquatint over softground before beginning work on his Builders series. Printer's notes on work: "Tone proof- etching an aquatint in over test softground so Jake could see what it would look like--He also made some marks on the aquatint background in the upper right corner to see if he wanted to have that kind of texture--He decided he didn't"On View
