Cathy Sarkowsky is a painter and printmaker whose work is influenced by visual and behavioral patterns in nature and who marries controlled and unpredictable processes. She received her BA from Pomona College, Claremont, California, and MA degrees from Antioch University and the University of Oregon. She has been awarded numerous artist residencies across the country including MASS MOCA, Skowhegan School of Painting and Centrum among others as well as at the Santa Reparata Graphic Arts Centre in Florence Italy. She has had a number of solo exhibitions in the Puget Sound region and participated in numerous group exhibitions in the region as well as California and New York.
